It’s that time of the year again! The Sunday dedicated to chicken wings, pizza, cold drinks & yelling at a TV screen. That’s right – Super Bowl Sunday is quickly arriving. On February 7^th we will be graced by the Kansas City Chiefs and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers dominating our living rooms – fighting for the prize that is held most glory – the Super Bowl ring! Can you tell we are excited? But what does all of this have to do with energy?

The phenomenon of a “polar vortex” is something energy professionals continue to investigate. The past few years of mild weather have increased this curiosity as we prepare for the next one. A polar vortex is one of the natural occurrences that can have a direct impact on energy prices. While drastic weather shifts are something we have little control over, we can prepare by learning how they affect natural gas market rates.

The holidays have certainly proved to be a bit different this year.
