On Monday, May 27th, we observe Memorial Day, a day which commemorates those individuals who have died in military service. Whether it be yourself, a family member, co-worker, or acquaintance, many of us have been touched by those previously or actively serving in the military. We strive to honor our Veterans throughout the year and look for opportunities to involve members of our organization and the community through volunteer events.
Honoring our Veterans

Memorial Day is a day to honor and appreciate the brave men and who lost their lives while defending their country. It is celebrated annually on the last Monday in May. The holiday originated in the years following the Civil War and became an official federal holiday in 1971. This day also is an opportunity for us to thank our veterans for their service and sacrifices they made for our country. Here at UGI Energy Services we did just that with the help of our VET (Veteran Employee Team) team! Brian Byerly (who came out from Pittsburgh!), Mindy Deamer, Greg Myers, Dante D’Alessandro and Jackie Nawa have done a spectacular job organizing this event.
