On May 22nd, UGI Energy Services won the Greater Reading Chamber Alliance (GRCA) Business Excellence Award in the “Large Business” category. The Greater Reading Business Excellence Awards, presented by the GRCA and KPMG LLP, honors the area’s most dynamic for-profit businesses and their contributions to the success of the entire community. This was the 11th year for the award ceremony – and it took place at the Santander Arena with over 750 participants in attendance. 45 companies within our community were recognized within this category, and we consider ourselves extremely fortunate to have made the list once again.
As the UGI family observes National Women’s History Month and its theme of “Women Who Advocate for Equity, Diversity and Inclusion,” UGI Energy Services applauds the contributions of its many colleagues giving back and supporting our communities throughout the year. However, even during the holidays, it’s important to keep energy efficiency in mind, so that those twinkling lights and electronics don’t spike up the electric bill.
Recently, UGI Energy Services (UGIES) hosted energy industry colleagues from the Greater Philadelphia Chapter of the Association of Energy Engineers (GPAEE) to discuss energy market trends heading into the 2023-2024 heating season, as well as to tour the company’s Temple LNG facility.

It is Engineer’s week! Every year, February 19-25th, engineers all over the world are celebrated. This special week is devoted to celebrating how engineers make a difference in our world, adding a voice to the conversation about the need for engineers, technicians and technologists, and engaging students in the world of engineering.
