At UGI Energy Services, we're proud to support the agricultural community that forms the backbone of Pennsylvania's economy. As a Harvest Partner of the Pennsylvania Farm Bureau, we're committed to strengthening the partnership between energy and agriculture—two industries essential to the Commonwealth's prosperity.

Who is the Pennsylvania Farm Bureau?
Pennsylvania Farm Bureau is the state's largest farm organization, representing farms of every size and commodity across Pennsylvania. For 75 years, PFB has been the unified voice of farmers, protecting, promoting, and strengthening agriculture throughout the Commonwealth.
The Mission: Growing Communities Through Grassroots Advocacy
PFB operates on a grassroots structure where county Farm Bureaus develop and implement policy positions. Their programs and services focus on:
- Solving farm-related problems that affect daily operations
- Advocating for policies that protect the right to farm and reduce regulatory burdens
- Increasing net farm income through resources and member benefits
- Educating the public about modern agriculture and where their food comes from
- Advancing rural life in the Keystone State
Who PFB Serves
Pennsylvania Farm Bureau membership extends far beyond the farm gate:
Farmers and Producers: From full-time agricultural operations to part-time growers, PFB provides advocacy from local township meetings to the halls of Harrisburg and Washington, D.C. Members shape legislation, influence decision-makers, and ensure that farmers—not outside interests—lead the conversation about agriculture's future.
Consumers: By joining PFB, consumers actively support Pennsylvania farmers and rural communities, strengthen the local food system, and ensure family farms can continue to thrive for future generations.
Agribusinesses: For those involved in agricultural business, PFB membership provides direct access to current and future customers, collaborators, and influencers in Pennsylvania agriculture. Members stay informed about legislative changes, regulatory updates, and industry trends that affect their operations.
PFB's Impact on Pennsylvania Agriculture
Farm Bureau members use the power of their collective voice to advocate for policies that benefit Pennsylvania agriculture and rural communities. Recent initiatives include:
- Wildlife Management Collaboration: Working with the Pennsylvania Game Commission and Department of Agriculture to address crop damage while supporting programs like Hunters Sharing the Harvest
- Food Security Programs: Through the "Harvest for All" program, Farm Bureau members have donated millions of pounds of food and raised hundreds of thousands of dollars to fight hunger in Pennsylvania
- Legislative Advocacy: From farmland preservation to water rights, PFB represents members on critical issues affecting agriculture's future
Regional Farm Bureau Days
We've recently had the pleasure of attending (and speaking) at some of the Regional Farm Bureau Days as part of our Harvest Partner membership. We have attended events for Region 7 in Williamsport, PA, and Region 4 in Enola, PA. Topics included financial discussions, thermal imaging, Pennsylvania Game Commission updates, and Legislative Updates and Policy Training. Our very own Vice President of Government Affairs, Pam Witmer, introduced UGI Energy Services and described the different ways we interact with the agriculture community and how our services can help our farmers save money on their energy costs. “From working with farmers on pipeline rights-of-way, to producing clean renewable natural gas from manure, to providing energy to our farmers, we have a long and proud history with Pennsylvania agriculture,” said Witmer.

Our Harvest Partner Commitment: "Reaping the Rewards of Strong Community Roots"
As a Harvest Partner of Pennsylvania Farm Bureau, UGI Energy Services is making a meaningful investment in Pennsylvania agriculture. This relationship represents more than just a sponsorship—it's a commitment to the farmers, rural communities, and agricultural businesses that power our state's economy.
Why This Partnership Matters to Us
At UGI Energy Services, we supply and market natural gas, electricity, and renewable energy to over 42,000 customer locations across the Mid-Atlantic and Northeastern United States. Many of these locations are farms, agricultural operations, and agribusinesses that depend on reliable, affordable energy every single day.
As a subsidiary of UGI Corporation—backed by over 140 years of natural gas experience and our own expanding energy infrastructure—we understand the unique energy needs of Pennsylvania's agricultural community:
- Dairy farms require consistent power for milking operations and refrigeration
- Greenhouse operations need reliable heating and climate control
- Grain storage facilities depend on energy for drying and storage systems
- Livestock operations need heating, ventilation, and water systems that run 24/7
- Processing facilities require uninterrupted energy for food safety and production
Our Harvest Partner investment ensures we stay connected to the agricultural community we serve, understanding their challenges and adapting our energy solutions to meet their evolving needs.
A Shared Vision for Pennsylvania's Future
Both UGIES and Pennsylvania Farm Bureau share a commitment to strengthening Pennsylvania's communities and economy. Just as PFB works tirelessly to preserve agricultural heritage and ensure family farms can continue producing the local food Pennsylvanians depend on, UGIES is dedicated to bringing affordable, reliable energy to every corner of the Commonwealth.
